Antique, best and avant-garde bells couture is on affectation at an exhibition by the National Trust.
Love, Desire and Riches appearance acclaimed bells dresses from about the apple alongside items from the National Trust’s celebrated collection.
National Trust CEO Martin Purslow said it is an "amazing collection".
“We’ve pulled calm some of the best bells dresses we could possibly find,” Mr Purslow told 774 ABC Melbourne's Libbi Gorr.
The best big-ticket dress in the exhibition is a $300,000 dress by Italian appearance artist Valentino.
It appearance a 4.5 accent applique alternation and was beat by Princess Marie Chantal at her bells to Pavlos, Crown Prince of Greece.
The alternation took four months to embroider.
The dress is said to be Valentino’s favourite.
Also on affectation are abreast dresses from Australian designers, including Akira Isogawa and Collette Dinnigan.
It additionally appearance dresses beat by Kylie Minogue on the television shows Neighbours and Kath & Kim.
The exhibition includes bells couture dating aback to the 18th century, including wartime dresses.
"You’ll see that bells dress appearance has changed," said Mr Purslow.
"It’s not aloof about the white dress.”
Love, Desire and Riches exhibits at Rippon Lea House in Elsternwick, Melbourne until 30 September, 2014.
