
Needy accouchement in Appalachia and rural Southwest Georgia will accept a brighter Christmas address of Center Hill Baptist Abbey in Loganville.
Led by Center Hill’s Women’s Missionary Union, the abbey abounding 102 backpacks as allotment of the statewide Backpacks of Hope initiative. Abbey associates donated academy supplies, hygiene items, accouterment and toys and the WMU associates abounding the backpacks for the boys and girls.
The backpacks will be delivered on a mission cruise in aboriginal December. The Georgia Baptist Association’s ambition is to accommodate 35,000 backpacks as allotment of the program.
Center Hill originally committed to ample 25 backpacks, but upped its ambition to 35 and eventually to 100. The 102 backpacks were displayed at the church’s Homecoming anniversary Nov. 12.
“I’m appreciative of our abbey associates for accidental their time and assets to this campaign,” Center Hill pastor Rando Acres said. “It is acceptable to apperceive that some boys and girls will be adored by these backpacks that we were able to fill.”
